What types of things can computing office hours be used for?

The computing office hours, hosted by the computing TA and Carl, focus on helping you get the most out of the computing resources and advance your research.

Computing TA's Office Hours

I would love to help you with

1. discussing your project's computing needs in general.
2. guiding you to which computing resources might be best for ongoing projects.
3. general questions like "I don’t really know how to _X_computing_problem_ for my research project - do you have any ideas?” (including topics like those found on this computing wiki). This means beyond just hardware but software too.
4. discussing / thinking over why to best use python, R, etc... and relative best practices

I will not help you with

1. 650/750 projects or other computing class projects (please see class-specific TAs / professors).
2. general writing and debugging of your code. I can help you learn best practices, but I'm not here to do your research for you.

Finally, computing TA office hours are for graduate students only.
